SeaWorld April 2011

This past weekend, we went to San Antonio to visit SeaWorld. We went with a few families from our life group at church. We stayed at the Wild Oak Ranch. It was such a neat place for young families!!
The boys have been very excited to go back and see the dolphins and shamu. They were especially excited to see the baby whale perform in the shamu show. He was so cute!!

We had such a great weekend with good friends. We are already planning to go back in a few months.

Spring Break 2011

For Spring Break we went with my parents back to Colorado. The boys love it there!!
The boys had there first adventure of driving 21 hours in the car. They did great!

We had a great week of making snowmen, playing in the snow, and skiing. Peyton has turned into a ski bum. He took one private lesson and was going up the ski lift with us and skiing greens. His instructor told us that he is ready for blues. It was so much fun skiing with him.

Brady lasted about 10 minutes in a private lesson. He like wearing all the gear, but did not like it when he was moving. He will try again next year.

We are already looking forward to going back next winter to ski again.

Colorado Trip 2011

January 1st we went to Steamboat Springs, CO with my family. It was AWESOME!! It was very cold and their was a ton of snow. This was the first time the boys had ever played in the snow. Peyton loved it right away. Brady was not really sold on it till later in the week.

It was a fun week of relaxing, sleigh ride, skiing, bowling, and some great family time. If you ask Peyton what his favorite think about Colorado is, he says Skiing!! He had so much fun and he cannot wait to go back. He is a natural skiier and he graduated to level 2. His instructor even taught him how to jump.

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was relaxing and lots of fun. Both boys were really excited and into everything this year. We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house, then Christmas morning we were home.

Surprise 10 Year Anniversary Trip!!

Dwayne really surprised me for our 10 year Anniversary!! We went to Puerto Rico. I had no idea we were going until about 4 hours before our plane left. It was so much fun!! We slept in, read a lot, rented a car and drove around the island, ate good food, and sat on the beach. It can't get much better than that :)

Thanksgiving Weekend 2010

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of fun with family. We went to my parents for the day Thursday and took family pictures and had an awesome lunch. My sister and I have started a new tradition called Black Friday shopping. We left the house at 8:30 Thursday night and did not come home until 6:00 the next morning. It was so much fun.

On Saturday morning my my Mom, my Sister, the kids and I loaded up the car and went to Palestine, Texas to ride the Polar Express. The kids were so excited. It was a lot of fun and we will definitley be doing it again. We stayed the night in a hotel, which the kids thought was pretty cool!!

I am still recovering from a full weekend of fun. I am now trying to get ready for Christmas.

Halloween Weekend

We had a busy Halloween weekend. Saturday we went to our church for the Fall Festival. The kids had a blast with all the bounce houses, blow up slides, and of course popcorn. Sunday after church, we quickly put the kids in their costumes (Peyton - Buzz Lightyear and Brady - Woody) and went to eat at Willies. Kids eat FREE if in costume. It was a cheap lunch!! Sunday evening we had some friends over for trick-or-treating. Peyton was really into it this year. Brady was good for about 4 or 5 houses, then he kept saying, "mama I tired".

It was a fun weekend. Now we are starting preparations for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It will be a crazy two months!!

Peyton Turns "4"

For Peyton's 4th Birthday, we got together with family and friends at our church. The theme of course was Toy Story. Peyton loves Buzz Lightyear!! He picked out a Toy Story bounce house and him and his friends had a blast. After the party, we had a relaxing family party at our house.

On his real birthday, the 19th, I scheduled for him to have his 4 year check up which consisted of 5 shots and the flu mist. I will tell the truth, IT WAS AWFUL, but it is over and he got to go to Chuck-E-Cheese after for lunch. We met Papa, Grammy, Aunt Lezlie, Addy, and even Daddy took the day off. He now asks to go back daily.

Disney World September 2010

We had an awesome time on our trip to Disney. We went with 3 other families from our church. The week was really perfect. The kids were all great, and tolerated being out in the parks most of the days really well. We are already looking forward to our trip back in a couple years. We have to wait till Brady is at least 40 inches tall. Here are some of the pictures from our trip.

Labor Day Weekend 2010

We are having a wonderful weekend so far. Now we are enjoying a relaxing day at home in our pajamas!! The boys are loving having their daddy home!

Last night, we got together with family at my parents house. We would normally get together and make homemade pizza and swim. It was my (crazy) idea to try something new. The day before I was watching a food network show and she was making sushi. It actually looked good and looked to be pretty easy to make. I asked my parents if they would want to make some sushi, and they thought it would be an adventure.

We made lots of sushi (all different kinds). It was not that hard to make, and it was a lot of fun. This was my first time trying sushi, and I was excited to try it. The first one I tried was a crab, peach, and avocado roll. It sounds great right?? Well, it had Nori in it, which is the seaweed stuff. It was AWFUL!!!! I did try a roll without the Nori and decided that I could tolerate the rolls without the seaweed. Everyone else thought that it was all pretty good. I filled up on cantaloupe!!

After dinner, the boys went swimming with the kids. The water was a little too cold for the girls. When it got dark, Papa made a fire in the fireplace and we roasted marshmellows and made smores. They were REALLY good!!

Overall, it was a great night with family to try something new. I would like to try sushi again at a restaurant. I know now to not eat anything with Nori in it!!

Brady is "2"!!!

We celebrated Brady's Birthday this past weekend. I can't believe that my baby is "2". We had a great time with family and friends. Dwayne's mom and sister flew in for the weekend from Oregon. Saturday we started the day with his party with friends. We had the party at the splash pad at 9:30. The weather was actually not bad. It was not too hot yet. Then everyone came to our house for blueberry cupcakes, and breakfast casserole. Brady had a great time playing with all his friends.

Later that afternoon after naps, we went over to my parents for his family party. He got to do his favorite thing SWIM. We had pizza and more cake.

Brady is really starting to communicate well with us and Peyton. They are really starting to become best friends. It is fun to watch them run around the house and have their own conversations.

I am so excited to watch him grow and become more of a little boy over the next year. Here are some pictures of his birtday weekend.

Galveston June 2010

Before we had kids, we loved to just pack our bags and take a short trip. Well, we are trying to get back into that now with kids. Sunday during the kids nap, we decided to pack up and go to Galveston. An hour after we even thought about it, we were in the car headed South!

We stayed at an awesome hotel, went to a nice dinner, walked the beach at night, and went swimming in the hotel pool at 10pm at night. The kids slept great in the hotel room, especially since they were up late swimming.

The next morning we sat around the hotel. We then packed our bags, checked out, and headed to the beach. It was a lot more crowded than we were expecting. The locals said that the beach has been really crowded since the oil spill. Everyone is going to Galveston.

We went to a private beach and had a BLAST!!! Peyton acted like he had been going to a beach for years. He loved the sand and was jumping the waves. Brady was not as sure about the beach. He liked the dry sand, but he did not like walking in the water. If you held him, he loved jumping the waves and getting all wet. Overall, I was pretty impressed with them and their first trip to the beach.

We have decided to make more spontaneous trips like this. The kids loved it and it makes them learn to be flexible!!

Wow It's Really June!!

We are still here. A lot has happened since I posted in April. We lived with my parents for about 5 weeks, which the boys loved all the attention. We closed on our new house the end of April. We have been here about 7 weeks and are loving it. We have awesome neighbors. All the kids in our cul-de-sac are Peyton and Brady's age. We are outside every evening riding bikes and playing baseball. Of course we live one street away from my sister and her family. Peyton and Brady are loving just being able to walk over to Addy's house.

We are pretty well settled. This past Saturday was the first Saturday that we have had in months with nothing to do. We finally feel things are back to normal.

I am loving my new office. My business is going really well. I am looking for it to grow in the near future!!!

This summer we are not too busy. We are going to Oregon in about a week to visit Dwayne's family for a weekend. The rest of the summer will be pretty open to lots of pool time and maybe even the beach. We are already reaching temps in the upper 90s with a heat index of 107 degrees. We are pretty much living in bathing suits!!!

We just booked our first big family trip to Disney World for the end of September. We are SO excited.

Easter 2010

We are still here!! It has been a crazy couple of months. The end of March we moved out of our home and are living with Papa and Grammy. We are closing on our new home hopefully this next week. We are very excited!!!

The boys have loved living with Papa and Grammy. They are getting lots of attention and LOVE!!

PEYTON

Peyton has been growing up so much. He is really comprehending things and able to communicate everything very well. He is asking so many more questions, that I am not sure how to answer sometimes. Here are some things that Peyton has done or said over the last month:

Mommy: I need to go exercise
Peyton: Why?
Mommy: Because it make Mommy feel good.
Peyton: Because you are fat!!
I just laughed!! I have been exercising 6 days a week since that comment :)

Mommy: Peyton do you like this dinner?
Peyton: Mommy this dinner kicks butt(as he is giving me a thumbs up)

Grammy was driving Peyton to school the other day. Peyton first of all wanted to ride in Brady's car seat, which Grammy thought was funny. Grammy started driving and looked in the rear view mirror and noticed that Peyton had his hands fold together by his face:
Grammy: What are you going Peyton?
Peyton: I am praying
Grammy: What are you praying for?
Peyton: I am praying for Brady because he has a fever!
(SO CUTE, made Mommy tear up a little bit when I heard this)

Driving to Papa and Grammy's, we got stuck behind a slow person:
Peyton: Move it Lady, I need to get to my Grammy and Papa's house.
(he is learning a little road rage, however I am trying to have my road rage under my breath!!)

I am loving the age that Peyton is. He is so much fun!!! He makes us all LAUGH!! This post is for my Aunts. They keep reminding me to write all of the stuff he says and does down so that I do not forget. This blog is really acting as a baby book for us.

January 2010

Well about a month has gone by since I posted last. January was different for Houston. It was really cold the first of the month, then we had a taste of spring fever for a week. It was nice. Now we are back to the cold. Peyton keeps asking if we can go back to the park.

What has happened in Jan:

Peyton is getting to be a young man. He is pretty independant about everything. He is loving that Brady is older and he has someone to play with at home. They play pretty well together, and they are starting to fight a little. Peyton went through a stage in December when he did not like school or Bible Class. It was rough, but he is out of the funk and enjoying both again. He is very ready for baseball to start back. He asks every day if we are going to the Minute Maid Stadium to watch the Astros. He is a BIG FAN!!

Brady is, well, a mess. He is 17 months now and has developed a personality and an ATTITUDE!!! He is saying all kinds of words and attempts to communicate the best he can which is adorable. He is also enjoying playing with brother. My favorite thing that he is attempting to say is "where did it go". It is more like, "we di di do". I love this stage. He still needs to get 4 more teeth in and he will have all of them but 2 year molars.

Dwayne has changed jobs. He now works for Texas Direct Auto. He is a buyer for them. This is the kind of job that he has wanted for a long time. He is working a little bit more, which it is taking a toll on Peyton, but he will get use to it. He also for the first time has a desk job. He sits on the computer buying cars at auctions online. It is very different for him, but he is so much happier!!! :)

I have been very busy with my private practice. I have now hired a sitter to come monday thru thursday in the mornings to watch the boys. It is grown much faster than I was prepared for, but I love it. I get the best of both worlds: work from home, and stay home with the kids. I feel very BLESSED!!!

Christmas 2009

Wow, I can't believe that Christmas is over. We had a wonderful Christmas. Christmas Eve we ate dinner at my sister's house. After dinner we went to a candlelight service at church. It was very nice. After church we went to my parents house to have finger foods and open presents. We had a great time with my family.

Peyton has been much more aware of everything this year. He has been counting down the days till Santa since December 1st. Brady was excited but really didn't know what was going on. Christmas morning was a little tough. Peyton had been up late the night before and was tired. It took him a little while to wake up and get excited about Santa and presents. We had a very relaxing morning. We made breakfast pizza and sat by the fire all morning. It took about 30 miutes to open all the presents and about 6 hours to take everything out of the boxes. It was a great day to be in our pajamas all day. My parents came over for a little while to see what Santa had brought the boys. For dinner we had enchiladas and mexican rice. It was very good.

I have had every intention of posting about our Halloween trip, but just have not gotten around to it. My parents, sister and family, and the four of us went to San Antonio to visit Shamu. We had a great time. The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast. Here are some pics.

Peyton's Birthday Weekend

Wow what a weekend. We started the festivities on Friday and they are finally ending today. He is going to start thinking that we should celebrate his birthday for 5 days every year!

Saturday morning was his pirate party with his friends. We had it at a train park. It was a lot of fun. The weather was amazing. It was in the upper 50's, low 60's. Last year at his party is was 90 degrees. The kids ran around and played baseball, football, and rode the train. Peyton has a special group of friends.

Sunday after church we had our family party. We had his favorite meal, roast! He got to open more presents too. He kept telling us that we get to sing happy birthday to him AGAIN! He had a lot of fun.

Monday was his actual birthday and his daddy took the day off. We played with all of his new toys, went to his favorite place to eat/play (chick-fil-A), and played t-ball outside. We had a great day just the 4 of us.

Today, we took donuts and juice to his school to celebrate his birthday. I told the teacher that he has been celebrating since last friday. He was excited to share his donuts with all his school friends.

I can't believe that my first born is "3". It goes by so fast. I keep thinking, oh my, he starts kindergarten in 3 years! He is a sweet little boy, and we love him so very much. For the last time - HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEYTON!!!!

We Are Back!!!

Wow, it has been over a month since I posted last. Sorry!!! It has been a crazy month. Let's see, the first of September we put our house on the market. This keeps me busy in the house cleaning department. We have had a few lookers and a good open house. We are still waiting patiently for the right family to walk in our house and fall in love with it.

Between Dwayne's job, my new business, and the boys we have been very very busy. My new private practice is going well. I love it!!

Peyton started preschool the first of September. He goes Tuesdays and Thursdays. He tells me, "Mommy I love to go to school".

Brady is growing and getting a great personality. The boys are starting to play really well together.

October so far has been busy. We have birthday parties, garage sale, and we are going to Seaworld for Halloween weekend. Peyton's birthday party is the 17th. It is at a park that has a miniature train to ride. He is having a pirate theme. He is very excited!! I will post pics after the birthday weekend.

I just took Brady to the Dr. for a check up. He is now 21.9lbs and 30 inches tall. He is a big boy. He is now walking everywhere!! He got 5 shots and a finger prick today and he was not a happy camper.

This last weekend we celebrated Brady's 1st birthday. We had a great time. His Grandma from Oregon came for a visit to celebrate as well. For his birthday we went to my parents house to swim and have pizza. Brady of course had no idea what was going on, but it was fun. Peyton and Addy were both real excited for presents and cake.

Where has the summer gone?? I can't believe that it is August. We have had a busy summer. I am currently starting up my own private practice for speech therapy in my home. It has been fun and challenging at the same time. It is called Footsteps Speech Therapy. Please keep me,and my patience in your prayers. Dwayne has been really busy at work also.

Over the last few months, Peyton has been really obsessed with baseball. He wants to play all the time, and he wants to go to Astro's games all the time. I have attached some pictures and a few videos of him playing outside with his cousin Addy. After they played baseball we took them to the splash pad to cool off! We are enrolling Peyton in t-ball in September. We can't wait!!!

Brady well, he turns "1" next week. This is a difficult subject for me. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. I am not ready for my baby to grow up!! He is almost walking by himself, but not quite. Anyway, I will post pics from his 1st B-day next week.

Vacation in Oklahoma

On July 2nd we packed up for our 10 hour rode trip to Oklahoma. My parents and my sister's family all went too. We stayed for a full week. It was nice to get away. We rented a house on the lake. The house was perfect and the kids loved going down to the rock beach and throwing rocks in the lake.

Friday, July 3rd, my cousin Britt had a beautiful sunset wedding. It was good to see lots of family. Saturday, July 4th, it actually rained all morning. We had forgotten what rain looked like ( we have gone over a month with no rain in Houston). That night we went to our Aunt Shari's and Uncle Daves house and had dinner and watched fireworks.

The rest of the week was spent resting and riding on the boats. We rode on our Uncle Brian's and Aunt Carol's boat a couple of days. We rented jet skies, which the kids loved to ride them. They both kept saying faster, faster. Peyton and Daddy even rode on the tube. Peyton did it, but he did not really care for it.

One night we drove to Bartlesville, OK (where I graduated from high school) and went to the kiddie park. It has rides just Peyton's size. He had a blast. He rode a roller coaster 3x, farris wheel, boats, train, horse, and more. He or course threw a fit when we left. It was only 25 cents a ticket and most of the rides were only 1-2 tickets. We wich they had something like that in Houston.

We had a really great time with our family. We were not ready to come home. Peyton cried most of the way home, "I want to go back to Oklahoma".

2 Head Injuries in a Week

This last week since we have been home from Oregon has been very eventful. The day after we got home, we went to Grammy and Papa's to swim. To make a long story short, Brady fell off the couch outside on the porch. He was strapped into a portable high chair (I know you are not suppose to do that). I left him on the couch to take Peyton to get his bathing suit on. As I was walking away from him I thought, that their is no way that he can flip out of it. I didn't even make to back door and I turn around and he was on the ground. I ran to get him and we immediately took him to the ER. He was crying, but not as much as I would think that he should have been. His eyes were rolling back in his head. I was freaking out (you can ask my mom). Once we got him to the ER he was starting to perk back up. I thought for a second that we could take him home, that he was fine. I was also thinking better be safe than sorry. They did a CAT scan just to check to make sure that their was no blood clot. Everything came back fine thankfully. We had to watch him closely for 24 hours and he had to sleep with us that night.

Okay, so that was one head injury. On Monday of this week, Peyton was running down the hall away from Addy at my sister's house. He was not watching where he was going and he of course hit the wall. He did not just hit the wall, he hit the door henge with his forehead. Oh, did he ever get a bump. It is all bruised and looks horrible. He is fine though.

I guess that I am going to have to get use to head injuries with 2 boys.

Here is a picture of Peyton's injury. I did not even think to take a picture of Brady's. Peyton's injury looks much worse than Brady's did surprisingly! We are just thankful that neither injury turned out serious.

Visit to Oregon

2 weeks ago we flew to visit Dwayne's family in Oregon. We had a really good time. Peyton had a blast playing with his cousins Elyse and Luke. The weather was cool for us. I had to pull out jeans and jackets from the storage. We stayed with Grandpa and Grandma for a few nights and then got to stay with Uncle Ben and Aunt Randie and few nights too. Peyton had fun playing with all of their toys. It was fun visiting family.

The 4 hour flight was interesting on the way there. We have found out that Peyton gets motion sick on the way down. He was complaining that his ears hurt and his stomach. Yes, you can image what happened soon after. It was a mess! He felt fine once we got off the plane. I was not looking forward to getting back on the plane 4 days later. On the way home we gave him motion sick medicine and he did fine. We were very thankful.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. We stayed at my parents house Saturday and Sunday night.
We spent a lot of time outside in the pool. Peyton just decided this weekend to swim independently with floaties. He did awesome. He swims all over the pool. He never stops!

On Sunday afternoon we went to an Astros Game. He loves to go. Grammy and Papa surprised him the night before we went. It was all he could talk about for the next 12 hours. The game was fun, however the Astros did not play well at all. It was still fun though.

Monday we had some good friends come over and swim and have a barbecue.

It was a relaxing weekend!

Brady 9 months old

Brady is 9 months old today. He is getting big so fast. We went to the doctor today for his check up. He is 20 lbs 4 ounces, and 27 inches tall. He is eating all kinds of stuff, he is working on his 7th tooth, he is crawling, he is pulling up on everything, he is talking more, and he is starting to follow Peyton around the house.

He is such a sweet little boy! We love him very much! Enjoy his 9 month video.

Mother's Day

We had a wonderful Mother's Day. We started the day by having baby dedication at church. Brady recieved his little blue bible with his name on it. After church, we were told to go to my parents house. My mom, sister and I had no idea what we were doing for the day. Soon after we got to my parents, they had a sixteen passenger van with a driver pick us up. They told us that we would be in the car for a little over an hour. I was trying to figure it out the whole way. We were surprised when the van took us to a pier near Kemah. We were going on a lunch cruise. The boat had a buffet lunch and live music. It was so much fun. I was very impressed with the guys. It was very creative. The kids had a lot of fun too!

Crazy Weather

Lets just say, that we got 20 inches of rain in 16 hours. We were in a tornado warning, thunderstorm warning, and flood warning. It started raining yesterday afternoon before I went to work. I went to work thinking that we were just going to get a little bit of rain. I was at work for 45 minutes, and we were sent to one room in the middle of the clinic with all patients and parents due to a tornado warning. After the warning ended we sent everyone home due to heavy rain and flooding. On my way home a couple of roads were totally under water and our subdivision was under water. Luckily, Dwayne brought home from work a big truck. I was able to get home okay. The water was up to the floor boards in the big truck.

Dwayne had the joy of the tornado warning with both boys. They sat in our closet for 30 minutes. During that 30 minutes Peyton managed to chow down 3 hot dogs and applesauce. (the steroid are making him very very hungry!) Dwayne was a little nervous mainly because I was out in the weather.

Needless to say we now have gotten plenty of rain. They are expecting possibly more tonight and throughout the week.

Kemah Boardwalk

We went this past Saturday with some friends to the Kemah Boardwalk. It was a lot of fun. The weather was beautiful. Peyton had his first taste of carnival rides. I think that he is going to be one of those kids that is not afraid of anything. He wanted to ride the wooden roller coaster and all of the big kid rides. He got to ride the train and the airplane. He had a blast. He of course cried when we had to leave. We will definitely be going back soon.

Busy Busy!

These last few weeks have been very busy. Peyton was allergy tested on April 14th for his eczema. The results showed that he was slighty allergic to peanuts. We were surprised. He has been eating peanuts for a few months and been just fine. Also, his skin was really bad this time last year and he was not eating peanuts. Who knows!! I have taken peanuts and anything with a trace of nuts out of his diet for almost 2 weeks now and have not really seen a change. We started him a few days ago on an oral steriod to help and heal the wounds on his wrists and the back of his knees. We have to have his wrists wrapped all the time or he will inch them to the point that they bleed. The steriod is starting to work. All of his wounds look much better. It has been a very frustrating couple of weeks with his skin. Please keep Peyton in your prayers that after he stops taking the steriod that the eczema will stay under control and not get worse than before. I have been doing research on this steriod and almost all the kids that took it got it back worse than before after they were done with the medication. We are nervous, but trying to keep this in Gods hands that he can live without being bandaged up and in pain.

The exciting news from the last few weeks, is that Peyton is potty trained. It happened a lot faster than I thought it was going to. He wore a pull up for about a week and a half and was staying dry all day long. Finally I just decided to put him in big boy underpants and he has done great. He has had a few accidents, but he has learned what the feeling is and is going independantly to the bathroom when we are home. We are working through the times that we are out and when we are at church. Overall we are excited and proud. He is very proud also. He loves to pick out which underpants he is going to wear for the day. I was looking forward to having less diapers to change, but Brady has decided to poop more throughout the day. Oh well!

Peyton's First Dentist Appointment

I took Peyton to the Dentist for the first time this past Tuesday. He did really good for his first time. They took pictures of his teeth, and the Dentist looked at this teeth. They did not clean his teeth this time. They did not want to freak him out to bad the first visit. We go back in 6 months for a cleaning. They showed him the devise that they use to clean his teeth, and that was when everything went downhill for their.

Astros Opening Day Game

This past Monday night my family went to the first Astros game of the season. We had a great time. Peyton had been looking forward to this night and has talked about it for months. Brady and him did great the whole game. Peyton actually cried when we had to leave 3 hours later. I guess we will be going to a lot of games this season.

This past Saturday our church had a picnic and an Easter egg hunt. It was beautiful weather and the kids had a great time. Peyton actually understands what it means to go on an egg hunt this year. He was very excited. He will get to go on two Easter egg hunts this year. We will have another one at my parents house on Easter Sunday.

It has been a while

Things have been kind of crazy around here. A couple a weeks ago a cold went around the family. We all had ear infections. It was loads of fun. Now we are all doing better. Brady went for a check up of his ears, and they both have fluid still in them. The dr. just wants him on zrytec and we will see if they get better. We may be looking at tubes if they don't :(

The weather has been beautiful here. We have been outside a lot, which both boys love. Peyton has really been doing the same ol thing. He communication skills improve daily! We have starting potty training. It is going good. He is putting all his poops in the potty, just not his pee. He gets very excited when he doing go to the potty because he gets 3 jelly beans. Peyton is going to be allergy tested on the 7th. His excema is horrible and the allergist really thinks that it is a food allergy. He is thinking either milk, eggs, or wheat. We will find out next week. He will also be tested for mold and tree pollen. Hopefully we can find something so that his skin can start looking better.

Brady is growing like a weed. He is 18lbs 8ounces. He has three teeth now and is eating like a champ. He started crawling a couple weeks ago. He is still pretty slow at it, but he can get to something he wants. He is sleeping through the night, which is a god send. I am loving my full night of sleep:)

Overall, things are going good. We are looking forward to the summer and swimming the pool. Peyton is ready. We are also looking forward to the Astros opening day game. Peyton has been asking and talking about this day for months. He mentions it everyday and gets so excited. My family is all going next Monday. It will be interesting with 3 children! Hopefully it will be a good game. Peyton loves it when the train moves, but it only moves if their is a home run! We will post pictures after the game. Here are some pictures of the last few weeks.

Beautiful Weather

We have had some beautiful days this last week. It has been in th upper 70's, lower 80's. We have spent a lot of time outside. I am starting to feel the spring fever and am even getting ready for summer and the pool. I am probably going to have to get use to being outside a lot with two little boys. Peyton has been enjoying playing out in the front yard with our neighbors kids. He likes to ride his tricycle, which he is close to being able to ride without being pushed. We have also finally got him where he will ride the little 4 wheeler that we got. He was afraid of it last season.

The other evening we were outside playing and thought that Brady would enjoy riding on the 4 wheeler too. We put him on it and he held on so tight. He had fun! I could not resist taking pictures of Brady. He looks like such a big boy! The pictures were taken very quickly so that he would not fall off. He was not left being unheld for long!! Brady 6 Months Old

Brady is now six months old. I took him to the dr on Wednesday for a well visit and shots. He is 17 lbs 4 ounces and 26 3/4 inches. He is a big boy! The dr checked him out as healthy. He has now started eating a meal for lunch. We started with sweet potatos. He really has not objected to any food yet.

At 6 months he is: sitting up, starting to army crawl, picks everything up, stands up while holding on to something, is saying, "mama and bubu". He really likes to say mama when he is crying and wants to be picked up and fed. I know that my days of a non-mobile child are soon to be over. I am excited though for him to be crawling around and following Peyton.

He is a precious little boy. We feel very blessed that he is healthy and developing normally!

Valentine's

We hope that you all had a wonderful Valentine's weekend. We had a fun, relaxing weekend. Friday night we went to my parents house. We roasted hot dogs in the outdoor fire place and had chocolate fondue with fruit. Peyton is now officially a chocolate lover!! We had a great time!!

Saturday we stayed home and did nothing for the first Saturday in over a month. We even stayed in our pajamas all day. For dinner I made salad, lasagna, bread, and a rose cake. It was very good. We even tried to make it somewhat romantic. We ate by candlight in the dining room with our pajamas on. Pretty romantic huh! When I lit the candle and turned the lights out, Peyton said, " I need my flashlight, it is dark in here". We tried to have a conversation about being romantic on Valentine's Day. It was a special dinner with my all my boys.

Brady is 5 months old now. He is growing up so fast. In the last month, he is eating cereal 2x a day, rolling over from his back to his tummy, and sitting up by himself. He is really ready to crawl and follow brother around. Here are some pics of him sitting up.

Peyton and Potty Training

We are trying to start potty training with Peyton. I has been going okay. We were sitting him on the big potty with a potty seat and that was not working, so we got him a frog potty. He likes to sit on it.

In the last week he has made some progress. He pooped and went pee pee in the big potty. I had to watch him like a hawk that morning so that he would not go in his diaper. He has started leaving the room and going behind a chair to poop, so it is pretty easy to catch him. Last night he went pee pee in the frog potty. We praised him and were so excited. He now knows that when he goes on the potty he get an m &m.

We are not in a huge hurry to get him trained. I know it will all be in his time, but we are giving him more opportunities to go in the potty. Here are some pictures of him sitting on his frog potty and reading a elmo potty book. ( he looks likes a little man!)

Dwayne's 31st Birthday

Dwayne celebrated 31 years on January 8th. I can't believe that he is 31. We went to Lezlie and Scott's house and grilled out hamburgers. For his birthday cake, he requested German Chocolate Cake Balls. I had never made them before, so I was trying something new. They were easy to make, but messy. If you want the recipe, I can give it to you. They were so so so so good and rich!!! After his birthday dinner he requested to play Rock Band. He had a great Birthday!!

Christmas 2008

I am sorry that I am just now posting about our Christmas. We hope that everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season. We had a very relaxing 2 weeks. It was nice to be home for Christmas. This was our first Christmas without family on Christmas morning. It was very special.

We did our traditional Christmas Eve with my family the weekend before Christmas. We get matching pajamas, open a new family game, and have cheese and crackers for dinner.

Christmas Eve we went to a service at church. We then went home and got the boys ready for bed and set out cookies for Santa. Peyton was a lot of fun! Christmas morning was a blast. Peyton woke up about 8:30am. Dwayne brought him downstairs and his face was priceless. His mouth was wide open and his eyes were huge. When he got downstairs and saw what Santa had brought him he was so excited. Santa brought him a tricycle. He looked at me and said " Look Mama, a tricycle...... (looked up at the ceiling) and said, " Thank you Santa". He loved his new tricycle. He opened every single one of his presents and even opened Brady's and ours. We had our traditional breakfast pizza and had fun playing with all the new toys!

Later that afternoon, we went over to Mom and Dad's for dinner. Peyton and Brady got to open more presents. It was a wonderful time with family! We are now looking forward to next year when both boys are running around the house Christmas morning!

Brady Eating Rice Cereal

Brady is 4 Months Old!

Time goes so fast. We can't believe that Brady is 4 months old. I took him to the dr. yesterday for his checkup. He is 15 lbs, 14oz and 26 inches long. He is a BIG BOY!! He is very healthy and the dr said that he looks great. The only thing that she is concerned about is the shape of the back of his head. She wants him to try and stay off his back, other than sleeping at night. At his 6 month check up she will check it again. If it still looks the way it is now, then we may have to do a helmet to shape is head. I really do not want to do this.

At 4 months old Brady is:

Today, we took Peyton, Brady, and Addy to get Holiday pics. Grammy bought them matching outfits. They looked so cute. The experiece did not go so great. Gingerbread Train, Christmas Cookies and Snow.... What Snow!!!!!

Yes, it was an eventful day today. The boys and I left the house in the morning to go over to my mom's house. We decorated a gingerbread train, made sugar cookies, and made green rice crispy treats. We were in the kitchen all day long. It was a lot of fun. The kids were involved in it all. While we were fixing dinner for tonight, I looked out the window and it was snowing. I couldn't believe it. We quickly got the kids bundled up ( I thought for sure that it would not snow for long) and went outside. Peyton was so excited. He kept asking to make a snowman. The snow was pretty thick, but it was not sticking to the ground. He just enjoyed catching snow flakes on his tongue and watching them fall. He did not want to go back inside. It snowed for over an hour. The snow make it such a perfect Christmas day to be with family making Christmas treats.

After we got inside from being out in the snow, we made the kids hot chocolate for the first time. The kids did not really like it, so Lezlie and I enjoyed it!!

We ended our day eating 15 bean soup with cornbread. It was so so good. When we left my parents house, it was snowing again! CRAZY!!!

Thanksgiving

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a very relaxing weekend at my parents house and at home.

Wednesday night we stayed the night at my parents house. We played cards after the kids went to bed, which we have not done in a long time (since kids came to the family). Thanksgiving morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast and watched the Macy's Day Parade. After the kids took a nap, we had our Thanksgiving lunch. We had a lot of food and of course ate way to much. After lunch we went outside and threw around a football. We played on the first hole of the golf course right behind my parents house. It was a perfect place for the kids to run around. It was a great day!!

The rest of the holiday weekend was spent at home due to both Peyton and Brady having a cold. They are doing better now. Dwayne and I actually enjoyed just staying in for the weekend. We put up our Christmas tree and did some other things that needed to be done around the house. It was a productive weekend.

Seeber Family Update

It has been a while since I posted anything on our blog. Sorry!! We have been busy with the same ol stuff. Dwayne has been really busy with work, I am now in the swing of things working two nights a week, and the boys are changing and keeping us on our toes.

Peyton cracks us up. I am loving the two year old stage. He says the funniest things, and he amazes us with what he knows. He is loving his brother more everyday. If you ask him if he loves Brady he says "Oh yes Mama!" He is learning about Santa and is getting excited about Christmas. He is obsessed with Christmas Trees. He helped Grammy and Papa put up a little Christmas tree the other day. He loved putting the ornaments on the tree. I can't till we put ours up this weekend.

Brady is now 3 months old. He is of course changing every day. He smiles a lot and has started cooing too. Peyton loves to hear Brady talk. He thinks that it is pretty cool. Brady is pretty close to sleeping through the night. He sleeps about 5-6 hours between feedings.

We are looking forward to the Holiday Season. Here are some recent photos of the boys. More pics are to come though. We had family pictures taken the other day.

Halloween 2008

We had a great Halloween. We went to my parents house and roasted hotdogs in the fireplace outside and then took the kids Trick-or-Treating. We only went to a few homes. Peyton and Addy did really good. Peyton would say trick-or-treat and then say Thank you! He was sweet.

Harding Homecoming 2008

We just got back this afternoon from Searcy, Arkansas. We went to Harding's Homecoming. This was a very last minute trip. I had been looking online for a hotel room over the last month or so and there was nothing. I thought I would take one last look on Thursday afternoon and there was a room available in Searcy. We packed the kids up and left Thursday night and drove 4 hours. Friday morning we drove another 4 hours. It was nice to break the trip up a little bit.

Dwayne's social club was having a 40th Reunion, so we saw quite a few of our friends. It was really neat to see everyone with children. We had a great time and we are really glad we made the last minute decision to go. It was special to take our boys (even though they do not understand) to the place where it all began!

We left this morning at 4am and got back to Houston at 1pm. It was a tiring day, but we are glad that we got up early.

Three Baby Boys and 4 shots!!!

Yesterday was not a fun day. We took the boys together for their 2 year and 2 month old Dr's appointments. I wanted to get it all done in one day and just get it over with.

Okay, Peyton is 28 lbs and is 34 inches tall. He is now finally in the 50th % for weight and height. He did okay. He did not want to lay on the table. Dwayne held him while the Dr checked him out. He kept saying "bye bye dr".

Brady, Brady, Brady!! Here we go. He is a whopping, are you ready, 13 lbs 11 ounces, 24 inches tall. I was amazed. I figured he was around 13 lbs, but not close to 14 lbs. He is in the 90th to 95th % for weight and height. The Dr. said he is definitely not malnourished! He has almost doubled his birth weight in 9 weeks. He is breast feeding great every 3-4 hours during the day and goes 5-6 hours at night.

Okay for the 4 shots. Well, Dwayne got his flu shot for which he did not want because he was afraid that he was going to get the flu. Right before he was about to get his shot, he said " um, I have not had anything to eat today". I said, "what does that matter, it is just a flu shot. It is not like giving blood." Dwayne said, "I know, but I have fainted before with shots". Okay at this point I am thinking oh my, here I am with my two crying children at the Dr's and my husband is probably going to be flat on the floor because of a FLU SHOT!!!! What a Baby!! And that is when I said to myself that I have 3 baby's with me today. So, on with the story. After he told me he may faint, I pulled Peyton's cheerios out of his bag and handed them to Dwayne. He ate some and said he would probably be fine!!
He was fine. He went first, and then Peyton got the flu mist in the nose and one shot. He cryed but mainly because he had the sit on the table. Then Brady went last and got 2 shots (poor baby).

It was an adventure, and we all survived even Dwayne!

Peyton's 2nd Birthday

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Peyton turning 2 years old. Saturday was his birthday party. Peyton a few of his friends over. The theme of the party was Baseball and the Astros. Peyton loves baseball and the Astros. Peyton was dressed in his Astros gear and everyone that came wore Astros also. Dwayne set up the back yard to look like a mini baseball field. We also had a bounce house and the kids played on the swing set. It was a beautiful day to be outside. The kids had fun playing baseball and so did the Dad's. We enjoyed so birthday cake ( thank you Tara) and ice cream and then he opened his presents. He had a great time!! Here are some pictures of his day!

Brotherly Love

Here is a video of Peyton holding Brady. The last couple of days he has wanted to hold him more and always grabs a blanket something and throws it over his shoulder. I guess I did not realize how observant he has been of me throwing a burp cloth over shoulder all day. I also tried to get him to sing a song for Brady, but again as soon as the camera came out he says "look" and wants to see himself in the camera. He is singing a little bit but, he can sing Take Me Out To The Ball Game much better. I will keep trying to get a full song from him.

Busy Week!

We had a very busy week this week. I am trying to get things ready for Peyton's Birthday Party and I have been going through closets and things for our garage sale that we had this morning. I love garage sales. It feels so good to clean up clutter in your home! My sister and Scott had a bunch of stuff for the garage sale since they have sold their home and are moving. We were outside at 5:30am and pretty much everything was gone by 10:30am. We had a good turn out. Our neighborhood has a sale every six months.

I have not commented on any posts about Peyton and Mother's Day Out. He went for 2 weeks, and we had to pull him out. It was too much for him with all the changes at home. We did not notice that he was affected by Brady until we tried MDO. He has gotten very clingy and does not like Mommy or Daddy to leave him. He has always liked Bible class, but over the last 8 weeks he has struggled to go. We have seen a Peyton that we have never seen before. He has cried more in this last 8 weeks than he has his entire life. Things are getting better though. He went to Bible class the last two times we went and he only cried for a minute or two. He participated in class and had a good time. We have had to come up with a line that we repeat for bible class and for bed time. "Mama go to bed/class, Dada go to bed/class, Brady go to bed/class, and Peyton go to bed/class". It is working so far. I am praying that he will be ready to go to MDO in January. I am not going to push him right now.

Brady turns 2 months old tomorrow. He is such a big guy. He is flying through all of Peyton's old clothes. He is smiling and cooing more than he was last week. He is also going from his 9pm feeding to 2am. It has been nice to get 4 hours of sleep in a row!!! We have set up his room today and he is moving up stairs to his nursery. We are ready to have our bedroom back!

Weekend in Dallas

Dwayne, Brady and I left last Thursday for Dallas. Dwayne had a National Conference meeting for work, so I decided to go with him and visit my college roommate Amanda. Peyton went with Grammy and Papa to Seaworld in San Antonio for the weekend. I had a really good time with Amanda. She had baby Reagan 4 weeks before Brady was born. We relaxed, fed the babies every 3 hours, went shopping and watched movies. It was a vacation for me. I did not have to run around chasing a 2 year old. I was very thankful (thank you mom and dad) for the time I had alone with Brady. I just sat and held him lots and cuddled!

Saturday night I went to the Hilton where Dwayne was for a company party. Brady was really good. He got lots of attention from all of Dwayne's co-workers.

Sunday we met Tim and Amanda for church and had lunch. Then I left for Houston with Brady, while Dwayne stayed back to go to a Dallas Cowboys game with Tim. I have not driven by myself for that long since college. I had only had 4 hours of sleep the night before and struggled to stay awake. But I made is safely with the help of sunflower seeds and caffine.

We missed Peyton very much. This was the longest we had been away from him. He had a blast with my parents at Seaworld though. I was not worried about him at all. When I got home, he really didn't want to leave Grammy and Papa.

Brady is now a little over 7 weeks old. He is getting so big. He started smiling this last week. I love it now that he is starting to interact with us.

Brady's Dr. Appointment

We finally made it to the Dr. yesterday. The office was closed for a week because of the hurricane.

Brady is a little over 5 weeks old and is 11.7lbs, and 23 1/4 inches long. He has gained exactly 4 pounds since he was born. He is in the 95% for weight and height. He is a big boy, but he is healthy:) He is starting to get baby rolls on his legs and arms which I love. Peyton never had any baby rolls. Brady got one shot and he was a trooper. He did cry of course, but just for a second.

Brady One Month Old

I can't believe that it has been a month since I had Brady. It has flown by. He was suppose to have his one month Dr's appointment yesterday, but they are shut down all week due to damage to the building from Ike. I am very anxious to see how much he has grown in the last 2 weeks. He is getting soooooo big. I am going to guess that he has gone from 9.4 lbs to almost 12lbs. He takes his eating very seriously. He is actually getting some baby rolls on his legs and arms. I love it. Peyton never got that.

Brady is becoming more alert during the day. He likes to watch Peyton run around. He is feeding every 3-4 hours. He is really overall a very good baby. He feeds and goes right back to sleep at night feedings, which is very nice. He has been having a little bit of trouble with reflux and tummy trouble, but not too bad. He loves tummy time, which is wierd for me because Peyton hated it!

Peyton loves Brady. He kisses and hugs him all the time. It is very cute to watch Peyton try to interact with Brady. He talks to him hoping that Brady will respond back. It will be fun when Brady can interact with Peyton a little bit more.

Hurricane Ike

Wow, what a weekend!! Dwayne, Peyton, Brady and I left our house on Friday morning and went over to my parents house to ride out the storm. We had plenty of food, water and a generator. We spent Friday preparing for the storm and having some fun. Peyton and Papa went swimming to enjoy being outside.

Friday evening the winds picked up, and by 7pm the power was going on and off. By 9pm the power was off for good. We played cards by flashlight while the kids tryed to get some sleep. I was not prepared for the strength of this storm. By 2am it was wild outside. You could feel the house shake a little bit with every gust of wind. By 3 or 4am we had winds of 75 mph with a lot of rain, that lasted about 4 hours. My parents have a room upstairs that has no windows. We all stayed in that room and listened to the storm. I told my mom that I never want to ride out another hurricane. We were hearing things hit the windows and things snapping and cracking. It was awful! I can't imagine what the people went through that rode the storm in Galveston.

Once the storm calmed down the guys started up the generator. It was nice to finally have a fan blowing on us. We had tropical storm force winds for at least half of the day and lots of rain. My parents house had very minimal damage, which surprised all of us. Our house and my sisters house was fine.

We finally got poser back to our house Saturday evening. We feel very fortunate and blessed to not have damage.

First Day of MDO and 2 Week Appointment

Today has been a very busy, emotional day. It was Peyton's first day of Mother's Day Out. I was very nervous, even though I knew he would do just fine. He will be there Tuesday's and Thursday's from 9am to 2:30pm. He was pretty excited this morning about going to school. When I dropped him off, he did not even turn back to see me leave. He was ready!!! When I picked him up, his teacher said that he did great until it was time to take a nap. They said he was tough to get down, but he did take a 45 minute to an hour nap on his nap mat. When I walked into the room he was sitting on the aids lap and crying. It broke my heart and of course (this won't surprise my family) I started crying too. And yes, I forgot to mention that I did cry a little when I dropped him off too!:( Overall, he did great. I am curious to see how he does on Thursday now that he knows he is there for 5 and half hours!!

After Peyton was dropped off, my mom and I took Brady to his 2 week appointment. Brady is 9.4lbs and 21 and a half inches long. He was 7.7lbs when he was 5 days old. He is a very good eater, and would eat much more if I would let him. The Dr. said that he looks great. He did not get any shots today, but they did the newborn PKU screening today. They have to prick his heel and fill 5 dots full of blood. It took 15 minutes to fill all five dots. Brady was screaming, mommy was crying and even Grammy was teary eyed. The nurse that did the test had him laying on the bed and had is leg elevated trying to get blood out of his heel. I am not a Dr. or nurse, but I do know that to stop blood flow you elevate the body part. Finally near the end of the test, my mom said "wouldn't it be better for me to hold him up so that the blood will flow to his heel?" Oh yea, that may work the nurse said. It worked and he filled the last dot very quickly. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper when we left the Dr. Brady was worn out and pitiful after all that.

After Brady's appointment I had my 3 week post surgery appointment. It was easy thankfully!!! I am glad that the day is over. We all survived!!!!

Brady's First Week at Home

Wow, I can't believe that Brady is almost 2 weeks old. My days are going by even faster now that I have 2 kids. Last week was a lot of fun. Dwayne was off all week, which was a big help for me. Peyton loved having his Daddy home. Dwayne went back to work today, and so far Peyton is not to bothered by it.

Brady is doing great. I can say right now at this very second, that Brady is a better baby than Peyton was. Now later today or tomorrow could be a different story. He is very content and layed back. He sleeps from one feeding to the next at night. I got almost 6 hours of sleep last night. He is awake about 4 hours during the day. I know, this probably won't last!!! I will enjoy it while it does though.

Peyton so far loves Brady. We have not seen any signs of jealousy so far. He likes to get on the floor next to him and talk to him. He also gives him lots of kisses.

I am doing much better. I am not on pain meds, and am able to get around the house pretty well. I still have one more week of not being able to drive and picking up Peyton. I feel very blessed to have had 2 pretty easy recovery times with a c-section. I would do it again, but we are not!!!!!

We are Home!!

We are home now. The Dr. let us go home this evening instead of tomorrow morning. We were ready to get home where we are much more comfortable. Here are some more pictures of Brady.

Brady Jack Seeber

Brady Jack Seeber was born this morning at 7:50am. He was 7.6lb and 19 and a half inches long. He is very handsome of course. He looks a lot like Peyton did, but with much darker hair. The surgery went great. It was not as bad as my mind was letting me think that it was going to be. I am feeling really good, a little sore but not bad.

Brady is doing great. He has had a little trouble with left over crud in his lungs and tummy from the surgery. He likes to gag on it, which of course scares me every time he does.

Peyton and the family came up to see Brady. Peyton didn't really want to have anything to do with him. He did watch him closely though. I will have to post pictures of him in his scrubs. We couldn't get a good picture.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayer today. We feel very blessed to have two precious boys! Enjoy the pictures from Brady's Birthday.

A little over 2 days!!!!

Well, it is almost time. We are so excited. I will admit though that I am very nervous about the surgery. I did not have time to think about a c-section with Peyton since it was an emergency. Now I am going to the hospital not in labor and having surgery. I know though that God will be with me and Brady the whole way through.

I went to the Dr. today and she is ready. I asked her if she could make sure that she gets a good night sleep the night before. I do not want my Dr. exhausted cutting into me!!! Dwayne and I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am on Thursday. The surgery is at 7:30am. My parents are coming over around 5am to be with Peyton while he is sleeping. They will bring Peyton to the hospital after he wakes up and eats breakfast. Peyton is coming to the hospital in little Dr.'s scrubs with crocs. My mom had his name embroidered on the scrubs too!! He looks cute. We are going to see if they will put Brady's foot prints on his scrubs top. We will post lots of pictures I am sure!!

Please keep us in your prayers Thursday morning around 7:30am. We hope to show Brady off in pictures sometime this weekend!!

3 Weeks!!!!!

Things are going well in the Seeber house. Peyton and I are having fun swimming at the pool, and playing inside in the cool house. I am trying to endure the Houston summer heat. The temperatures are in the upper 90's with the heat index about 105!!!!! It is very hot.

I have been spending the last few weeks getting everything ready for Brady. We only have 3 weeks until my scheduled c-section. It is crazy how fast this pregnancy has gone. We are ready though to have both our little boys in our home. I start going to the Dr. every week, starting this next week. Dwayne is hoping that I will go into labor before Aug. 14th.

We will be keeping everyone updated, and of course will be posting pictures after Brady is born.

The following 2 videos is of Peyton singing Twinkle Twinkle and playing the piano. He is really starting to sing more, and it is so cute. He even tries to sing all the songs at church. I think that he may be famous some day!!!

In the last couple of weeks, Peyton has learned how to spell his name. He does a pretty good job, even though he always misses the letter "e".

Wow, What an Adventure

Well, it has been about 3 weeks since we started remodeling the downstairs of our house. It is pretty much done. We have a few little things to do, but that is it. If Dwayne could give any advice to those of you who are thinking of putting tile in, DON'T DO IT. At least by yourself. Have a professional come in. Dwayne, my dad and Scott are still recovering physically from this project. They did an awsome job and we are very happy with it. They worked so hard. Dwayne has had a hard time with me putting rugs down. He told me that I could not cover up any more of his pride and joy!! I am so proud of him!!

It's been a long time!!!

Wow, I can't believe that it has almost been a month since I posted on our blog. It has been a crazy busy month.
The first of June, our church had VBS. I was a volunteer, so Peyton was able to be in nursery with kids his age. He was a part of a lesson every day. He loved it!! We were both absolutely exhausted by the end of the week. Peyton was taking 3-4 hour naps every afternoon.
After VBS week, I think, we spent a week recovering. My mind is really going with this pregnancy.
Now we are in the process of remodeling the downstairs of our home. We have pulled up the tile in our entry way and kitchen and carpet in the living room. We are putting tile down. We will only have carpet in the dining room and master bedroom. Dwayne began this remodel last tuesday with demolition of everything. It took 4 long evenings to get everything off the floor. Then my dad, brother in law Scott and Dwayne spent all last weekend laying tile. They worked so so hard. Dwayne is still as I type this post is at the house laying tile. It has been a little bit more work and a little more time consuming than we thought. But, it looks so so good, and will be over soon. We are hoping to be in the house cleaning Saturday and Sunday. Peyton and I have been staying at my parents house since last Wednesday which has been really nice. It has been a little hard for me I will admit seeing my house a huge mess, especially since I am in my third trimester and I am nesting. So, I have been doing my parents laundry and cleaning up around their house. I will post before and after pictures sometime next week.

We are also trying to finish getting last minute things ready for the baby. I only have 7 weeks till my c-section. I think that July will start out busy due to finishing the house, but hopefully things will settle down soon and we can relax before Brady joins us!!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We staying at my parents house all weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather. This was our family vacation for the summer. It was nice to not have to get in the car or on an airplane to go somewhere.

Friday night we all went to an Astros game. We had a lot of fun. The kids are so good to stay out till 10 or 11 pm.

The rest of the weekend we were out in my parents backyard. We spent a lot of time in the pool. Peyton enjoyed getting in the pool every day.

Peyton's Big Boy Bedroom

For the last couple of months, we have been working on getting Peyton's new room ready. We have moved him into the guest bedroom. We just put the queen sized mattress on the floor and kept all the furniture in the room. It beats storing or selling furniture. We finally finished it last week. He loves his new room. He is not sleeping in it yet. He likes to sit on his bed and read books. We hope to get him sleeping for his naps in his new bed, and then a while after Brady is born move him into the room at night.

Peyton's favorite things are planes, trains and automobiles, so that is what we decorated the room in. My mother was wonderful and made the window valance, blanket and pillow shams for the bed. Thanks again Mom!!:)

It is all starting to feel pretty real that we are about to have another baby. We are very excited and can't wait till both our boys are sleeping sound in their rooms!!

1st Family Trip

This past week we went on a little family trip. We wanted to go before school was out and before it got to hot. We left last Tuesday and drove to Corpus Christi on the Gulf Coast. It was fun. We stayed in Corpus for one night and then drove to San Antonio. We went to the Riverwalk and Seaworld. Peyton behaved pretty well the whole time. It is not as relaxing taking a trip with a very active 19 month old. We are glad that we went though before Brady comes into this world!

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. We started the weekend off Saturday at my parents pool. The water is finally starting to get warm. I was really nervous that Peyton would not get in the water, but he did. He loved it. Sunday we went to church, and then had a wonderful lunch all together. After lunch, Peyton asked to go back in the pool. I think that him asking to go the pool is going to start being a daily occurrence. Sunday evening, Dwayne's Mom, and Aunt's came over for dinner. They had been on a cruise all last week from Galveston and were in town before they flew home. It was great to see them all.

18 month old pictures

We can't believe that our baby is 18 months old. It has gone by so fast. He went for his 18 month old check up Monday and is 24 pounds, 32 inches tall. He is saying 40-50 words and is able to speak in some 3-4 word sentences. He is a talker!!

I had our friend take some pictures of him at my parents house. It was a gorgeous day!! Again, she took about 180 pictures, so this slide show is some of our favorites.

Peyton can already say his name. We practice every day. By the time he is born Peyton will know who he is and be able to call him by name.

We went to the Dr. yesterday to have our 20 week ultrasound done. The baby looks great. Dwayne and I knew pretty soon into the ultrasound what the sex was. It was pretty obvious. We are having a boy!!!!! We are all very excited. We have not totally decided on a name yet. We will let you know when we do. I never thought I would ever be having two boys. My mother put a curse on me years ago that I would have two girls. Boy did I ever show her!!

A Mother's Pain

This last week has been a really rough week for Dwayne, Peyton and I. Peyton has been sick since last Wednesday. It started with just a fever, then went to coughing and a stuffed up nose. He was so miserable, and not sleeping at night. We went to the Dr. last Thursday and the Dr. check for everything. He just said it was a little cold. Well, the fever continued through the weekend. I was getting concerned that it was more than just a cold. I took him back to the Dr. yesterday and he has an ear infection. I felt horrible for him. Last night was the first night that he slept in his own bed in a week. We are all tired and now Dwayne and I are having allergy troubles.

This has just really been a challenging week for me as a mom. I hate seeing my child hurt and not feel good, and he is unable to communicate what it wrong. Their was lots of cuddling and " I want Mama" from Peyton.

Today he is much better. He has had 3 doses of the antibiotic. He has been fever free all day. I am hoping to be able to get him out in this beautiful weather.

Watch our blog on Friday. I have my 20 week ultrasound. Hopefully we will find out the sex of the baby!!

Long Time No Post!!

Sorry that it has been so long since I have posted. Not much is going on here. Dwayne has been very busy with work. Peyton continues to say more, do more, and get in more trouble. I am finally feeling better. I went to the Dr. yesterday and every looks good. The babies heart beat was 153. My csection has already been scheduled. It is August 14th at 7:30 in the morning. It is kind of wierd that I already know my child's birthdate! It seems so far away, but I know it will be here before we know it.

Peyton somewhat understands that I have a baby in my tummy. If I ask him where is the baby?, he will come over and lift my shirt up and point to my belly. Sometimes he will do the same to Dwayne though!! Dwayne does not think that it is so funny!

We really have not been up to much. I turned 29 last Saturday. I was able to pamper myself a little and go get a manicure and pedicure. It was soooo nice!! We went to dinner at my parents house. We ate what I have been craving, Mexican Food!!

I don't have any pictures of Peyton. I will try and get some soon.

Macaroni

Peyton is saying more words every day. My favorite word that he attempts to say is macaroni. It makes me laugh. Macaroni is his new favorite food.

Update: My Dr.'s appointment last week went fine. I am continuing everyday to feel a little bit better.

I just thought that I would post a blog to let everyone know how things are going. The last 6 weeks have been the most challenging weeks of my life. I have been nausious every day, all day, and very tired. I have been challenged with Peyton, who has decided to give me a trial run on the terrible TWO's!! I have also been challenged on keeping my house in order. I am very OCD about my house, but with being so nausious and tired it has gone out the window.

God has picked me up though and helped me every step of the way. Dwayne has also been a saint. He comes home from a long day at work and looks after Peyton and does things around the house. He is amazing!!!

As I am writing this blog though, today has been a much better day. I was actually dreading today, because I no longer have my miracle drug (Zofron). My nausiousness has been less, and I got the house clean!!!! I think that I am on the downhill slide of this first trimester, I hope and pray!!

I go to the Dr. tomorrow for another check-up. Please continue to keep Dwayne, Peyton, our "little one", and I in your prayers.

Yes, you are all reading the shirt correctly. Peyton is going to be a big brother!! We are expecting our second child August 24th 2008. SURPRISE!!!

We have known since before Christmas, but we wanted to wait a while to blog about it. I am 8 1/2 weeks along. I went to the Dr. last week, and so far everything looks good. We got to see the baby and the heart beat.

We are having a lot of mixed emotions right now. We are excited, nervous, and I of course have been very sick!! This pregnancy so far has been a challenge. I am nausious all day long and very tired. I did get some medication that is helping the nausiousness a little bit.

Please keep all of us in your prayers as we start another journey. We can't wait to complete our family!! Peyton is going to be such a good big brother.
