UPDATE

Mindy went to her doctor's appt. today, and to our surprise, she has not progressed any further in labor!!! (Even though she was averaging 26.5 CS/day for the last week). Anyway, she is no longer on STRICT bedrest, but has been suggested her to take it "easy". Thank you so much for all of your prayers!!! Even though it looks like Peyton may stay in the oven a little longer (which is a good thing), we still are taking it day by day. Mindy is planning on going back to work next week for a few hours a day. She is ready to get off the couch and out of the house!!! We just wanted to thank you for all the prayers during this past week, and ask for continued prayers as we enter the 32nd week!! We will keep you posted as the days go by!!!!

BED REST = WATCHING GRASS GROW

Now that Mindy is on strict bed rest, all we can do is post pictures of her in the black hole. My mom has been real good about tracking her contractions. She is averaging between 20-35/day, with no pattern. At this rate, I will have to shave Mindy's head...... because I'm sure she'll pull it out in a few weeks anyway.

Peyton is still a maniac late at night, moving around like crazy......looking like a little alien in Mindy's tummy. We pray that he will stay in the oven day after day. I know it's hard because we all want to meet our little bundle of joy, but the longer he stays in, the better it will be. I pray that Mindy will be able to handle bedrest until he is born, as that is what I believe the doctor will tell us.

Well, here is some pics of Mindy.......you can see that Bruiser is helping keep her company, but is still deathly afraid of her tummy. We also took some pics of the contractions she is having, which is interesting. Some last 30 seconds, others 2 minutes. FUN!!!! I also put a pic of our new glider in Peyton's bedroom.

29 week scare

This last week, Mindy had been having some tighteness in her tummy, which we thought were just Braxton and Hicks contractions (I guess that's how you spell it). Anyway, these contractions are common and are suppose to be just giving the uterus "practice" before the true contractions. Well, when Mindy started her new assignment at her school, the B&Hs contractions got more frequent and we started to be concerned. Mindy called our doctor early Friday morning and they asked us to come in immediately. Needless to say, we spent the weekend at the hospital. Mindy had to be given an IV with Magnesium Sulfate to slow down the contractions. It wasn't until Saturday morning, when her contractions were just 2 minutes apart, that they "upped" her dose and gave her an ambien. This was around 2 am Saturday. This finally stopped the Cs all together. We stayed until Sunday morning for her Cs and Peyton's heartbeat to be monitered. She did have a few Cs, but not significant enough to warrant attention.
Mindy is home now. My mom came down from Oregon to help watch Mindy (as she is a retired RN........) and watch me, I guess...(I'm pretty confident, but I prefer to watch Peyton born, not do it myself) Thanks to Lez and Scott who were very helpful while we were at the hospital. Scott, you're the best b-i-l. (He brought me a 12-pack......coke, jerky and gardettos...only a man knows how to take care of a man's tummy)
All is good so far while we've been at home, Mindy has had around 12 Cs in just 24 hours..... just 2 that were longer than 30 seconds (which they tell us are real Cs) So please keep us in your prayers as we thank God for every 24 hours Peyton stays a 'cookin. I know a lot of us are excited to see Peyton, so here is a sneak peek of our baby boy's features. (He's a big boy for 29 weeks!.......a big boy with a big nose!!!!)

This Month's Blog

Family,

Yes, I've decided to return to write a blog. Sorry you all had to waste many a nights wondering if both Mindy and I had become flying midgets and joined the circus. (Although flying chihuahuas would be a good act) Anyway, here are some pictures of Peyton's new room that is just waiting for a glider. Also I put in some pics of Mindy and I outside my parents house. I want to thank my Aunt Janice who took these photos. (And thank her for NOT saying "Ready? .....1.....2......3!"
everytime she took one) :)

Peyton's Bedroom

OK, our plan was to start on Peyton's bedroom middle of June and maybe get it done by end of July. I don't know who I got it from, but I started painting his bedroom last Friday and now it's completely done. I guess once I start something, I like to finish it........which may completely contradict Mindy's opinion on that issue. Well, enough of typing, here's what Peyton's bedroom looks like!!!! The pictures make the furniture look black, but it is really cherry wood. Hope a lot of you can see it in person, it is much better.

17.5 week pic

OK, so here is the proof that Mindy is growing. Some of her favorite snacks have been yogurt, peanut butter on tortillas, cheese and crackers, oranges, cantalope, and fudge bars. Mindy is kind of concerned that she is showing too early. She has only gained 7 pounds so far. I say that there's a Queen-size suite with a heart-shaped hot tub in her tummy......... that just proves there's a high-maintainence little girl in there loving every minute. Now, here are some photos: (I put the old 11-week photo here for comparison)

Now, MY favorite foods during this time have been: pizza, Kettle Chips, any red meat (smothered, covered, or between bread), a healthy dose of ranch dressing on everything, and also a little bit of Diet Cherry Pepsi.......(can't stand the regular pepsi, ruins my figure)

Oh, and Taco Bell's grilled stuffed burrito, steak, extra baja sauce......double decker supreme, nacho supreme.

I would like to thank my mom and dad who gave me this figure. I have my mom's face and my dad's love of food. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear I was Italian.

Now, on a more serious note, Mindy and I will hopefully find out the sex of the baby in less than two weeks. Stay tuned....

A little bit of good news: Wendy Mathias is now completely cancer-free. They wanted me to thank you all for the prayers. Please visit there blog again, they have some great photos of the family.

Love you all! (You're welcome G-G and Grammy for the post!!!! Sorry it took so long)

Have you ever played the blinking game? Well, trying to find out the sex of the baby from an ultrasound is very difficult and can be very similar to this game....you have to keep your eyes open forever to try to see what you're looking (or not looking) for. I don't recommend trying to see an "inny" or an "outy" by yourself. This should be left to trained professionals, who rigorously train night and day for this type of work. I wish our doctor would have told Gary and I this before Mindy's U/S last friday. I've checked with Gary and he is still having trouble getting to work on time. (He can only turn lefts...) I have trouble hitting my mouth when I eat now...which could be a good thing. Hopefully my condition will pass by Friday, it's Papa John's /Movie night at the Seebers.

HERE YA GO GRANDMA!!!!

Ok, so the "G-Mammy" up on the "Lake de Grandious" is very excited now......hopefully everyone else is to. Sorry, I've been too busy to write another update until now.

We would like you to know the sex of the baby

so....

...............yeah, I couldn't tell either. Now you know how I felt. So, here is the new pic of "Little One". Mindy is doing much better, no bleeding whatsoever. (Thank you so much for the prayers) We go back on June 2nd to have our "cool" u/s done. We should be able to tell definately if this thing has an "inny" or an "outty". Start praying for me now, because I think it's a girl....and if she's anything like Mindy, well dear Lord, please pray for my sanity. J/K. I am so excited to be a Dad and clean out my workout room to make a space for stinky diapers and a rocking chair. I will be puting more pictures on the blog next week, so stay tuned. We love you all, and please don't forget to visit the Mathias' blog, there story continues to intrigue me...(and they're much better at posting than I). Oh, and G @ T attended the party this morning in the u/s room. I'll send you a picture of Gary's reaction next week..........

11 WEEKS A GROWIN'

Well, today makes it 11 weeks. I guess we figure to visit Kohls soon to find some 'spandable under-briches. Mindy says she can't wait to "look pregnant"...... not look like she's been eaten Sonic for 17 moons straight. I think she looks cute, sure makes me feel better about myself.
If your wife tells you that you look a little chunky, just tell her she needs to get pregnant......works like a charm. I haven't seen Billy Blanks since the pee-stick incident. (Although, I probably need to visit him or Gunner here in the next few days.....I'm winded everytime I have to come up to the 'puter to write you fancy folks.)

Well, 'nuf 'bout me...let's talk about Mindy, the pregnant hot mama!!! My dad said once, "Son, there 'aint nothin' sexier than a pregnant woman"....of course he used my mom in this sentence, so I kind of shut him out once he went into the reasons why. But you know what? HE'S RIGHT!!! -----It's amazing how parents seem to know what they're talking about! Until next time!!! BIG D

4. A 10 week-old football player ( I swear I see a helmet and shoulder pads!)
5. A bag of peanuts
6. A baby already raising the roof
7. Is it wearing a diaper???
8. A boy
9. A girl
10. A beautiful child of God!!!!

MATHIAS/CRAIG BLOG

Ok family and friends, here is the link to the Mathias/Craig blog. Please visit and read their heartfelt story. I met Will over 5 years ago at American Eagle. Wendy's younger brother was my roommate in college, Corey Craig. Randie and I grew up with the Craigs in Oregon. Mindy and Wendy became good friends about the time that Will and I met. Mindy and I introduced them to each other, and were there the night Will proposed to Wendy. They are such a blessing to everyone they come in contact with!!!! Please keep them in your prayers as well.

THE STORY.....

Hello, we are Dwayne and Mindy Seeber. We met in college in 1997 at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Two years later, I tricked my now father-in-law into believing that I was good enough for Mindy and for him to let me marry her. On December 30, 2000, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma he got back at me. OK, but seriously, our marriage has been a real blessing for us both, as well as for our parents.

In 2001, we moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mindy went to grad school, and I worked at American Eagle to pay the bills. We talked a little bit about maybe starting a family soon, but it never really caught on as a serious note.....until we got Maggie and Brewser to tide us over for a while.

After Mindy graduated, we finally got to move into our first house in July of 2003.....Mustang, Oklahoma.

Mindy practiced speech therapy (very well, I might add) and I changed jobs to work for Enterprise (the company that picks you up!!!). Well, things seemed to be going pretty well, so we decided to start trying to make a "little one" in May of 2004. Boy, was I excited.....just think, 24/7....ok, 6/5....ok, 5 minutes on the 2, 4, and 6.............anyway, Guess who was going to get pregnant right away? Mindy!!!! Yeah, right......May, June, July, August.....no kid. September, October, November, December......the fun has subsided. Now things were not going our way. We thought it would be so easy, just like you hear.

We were successful on the job, in the community, and now we were stuck on family. We decided to take a break for a few months and pray about it more.......in Cancun........and on a Carnival Cruise!!!

Well, those prayers became answered in the Spring of 2005....just in a different format!!!!

In the spring of 2005, we had the crazy idea to move to Houston, Texas..... to be closer to Mindy's sister and brother-in-law (Scott and Lezlie Bradford) and Mindy's parents (Gary and Terri Russell). And yes, I thought it was a great idea too!!!! One CRAZY family in a 10 mile radius of one another...... who's idea was that!?

We lived with Gary and Terri for a few months until we found a new home in Cypress, Texas. (The Cous-nines were also excited that they could live closer together!)

Enterprise was nice enough to allow me to transfer and Mindy had no problem finding a job in her Speech Path field. Little did I know, or anyone else for that matter, that Gary was going to be shipped off to the NYC 3 months after we made the move. Boy, were things REALLY not going our way. Mindy was devistated, but we knew that they would be back again soon. This helped us to decide to start trying for the "little one" again. (YES!!!!!!)

Well, once again..... June, July, August....no "little one", just "lotta fun".......September, October, November...... NOW THIS IS SERIOUS.

Mindy and I really struggled how to process our situation we were in. Scott and Lezlie were virtually going through the same thing at this point, but had been trying for MUCH longer than we had been. We decided to start going to a infertility specialist after the holidays. We forgot about trying until February. After many family discussions -- the 2,4, and 6 (sometimes 10) kind of group family discussions, Mindy and I wanted to bite the bullet and get the best help we could get.....and right away.

We had to stop the vacationing, look out on that horizon, and take a leap of faith!!!!

In Febuary, we started our first serious step towards facing our infertility. We visited with Dr. Senecori, who discussed various ways we could tackle our situation. She was very aggressive, and we thank her for that. She told Mindy to have an HSG done ASAP (I can't remember what it stands for, but it's a female test of some sort.) It is a test to see if her female reproductive "things" work. Well, after the test, we were told that she was to have an ultrasound in a week to take a closer look at her ovaries and check for cysts, obstructions, etc. The u/s went fine and Mindy was told she DID ovulate in January, but that she was going to start her period soon, and that when she did they would start her on Chlomed and we could do an IUI right away.

WOW!!!! We were impressed with the doctor and how quick she took action for us. Mindy and I were excited that we had taken that next step towards hopefully one day having the "Little One"!!!!

February 21st, 5:30 PM

Mindy was late....nothing new, she went 36 days a lot, once even 40. Today was 41. We decided to take a test. Surely we weren't pregnant, the u/s showed that she was going to start. On my way to Walgreens, I was thinking that I didn't want us to get disappointed again, like so many times before. I wasted 15 bucks on a test of some-sort that looked cool 'cause it was blue on the outside and not pink, I was home in a flash, and I find Mindy talking to my sister on the phone. Randie was calling to see how we were doing. Mindy told her I was out getting a p/t. She was excited for us, but deep inside, Mindy and i knew that we would be disappointed...again. I read the directions on how to use the test, Mindy peed like a pro, and what-da-ya-know????? ...... How in the heck do you read a pee stick anyway??? That's besides the point...we thought the blue fancy-schmancy stick said yes (in spanish), so since we don't speak spanish, I frantically sped over to Walgreens again to get the pink test. (This one, for future references to all readers, is MUCH better) When I got back, Mindy was freaking out, didn't have any thing left in the tank.....you know what I mean. She had to drink a glass of water to get 3 dribbles. (How come when we're on the road, she takes a sip of Diet DP and she's slappin' me on the shoulder to pull over 'cause her bladder's about to explode.....??) buuuutttt.....the three dribbles worked on the pink test..........PREGNANT.

"Ha-lelujah!!!!! Ha-lelujah!!!!" Mindy cried for a long time in my arms, and we immediately called Randie back, who asked us to as soon as we took the test. Wow, now I'm gonna be a Daddy. Not just any Dad, but the kind who's gonna be cool. (Yes, I started planning my whole Dad-hood out at this exact moment)

February 28th We figure Mindy is 7.5 weeks along

Mindy has her first u/s after finding out she is pregnant. Dr. Senecori finds hemorraging and no baby. Our heart is broken. Dr. Senecori tells us that it is probably a miscarriage. She does say that Mindy's days could be screwed up, but she sees no sign of a baby. Mindy and I ride the roller-coaster back down into devestation. I have never felt so on top of the world just 7 days ago, and now, with my wife.......total failure, once again. The doctor recommends a D and C in a few days after a second u/s.

March 3rd

Mindy has a second u/s, this time a Doppler. We anticipate her having a D and C that night and recovering for the weekend. Mindy's spring break trip to New York City is put off and Terri has flown in to spend time with us. Accepting a miscarriage is tough. After just 3 days, we were looking forward to trying again. ......MIRACLE. A strong heartbeat is seen on the Dopplar. Mindy tears up, grabs my hand and has no words. "Thank you Jesus......thank you Jesus.....thank you Jesus" is all I had. (I want to thank all those who were praying for us at this time) Still slight hemmoraging and a risk of miscarriage. Better a strong heartbeat and a little problem than no heartbeat at all!!!

March 4th

Mindy and Terri fly to NYC and have a wonderful week together while I paint our bedroom!!!!!!

March 17th

Mindy has 3rd u/s and the baby has an even stronger heartbeat. Still hemorraging. Doctor tells us it is a Subchorionic Bleed. This is when the placenta doesn't totally attach or is still attaching to the uterus wall and is causing bleeding. Mindy still does not have any external bleeding, which is good sign. Mindy is still in good spirits but is taking it easy thus far.

Here is a picture of our "Little One" at our 3rd u/s.

Thank you to all who have been praying for us. Please continue to pray for Mindy, me, and our "Little One". We will update this blog every couple of days. So keep visiting us during this journey!!!! We love all of you!!!!

DUE DATE: OCTOBER 27TH, 2006

Any of you who is reading this, please if you can, put some of our good friends in your prayers as well. Our situation is very little compared to theirs. They have a newborn, but mother is very ill with cancer. We don't have time for their whole story, but I will provide a link to their blog in a future memo. Just for now, their names are Will and Wendy Mathias and their little girl, LilyAna.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Dwayne and Mindy Seeber

Why Produce This Blog?

We wanted to start this blog to allow our friends and family to enjoy a journey with us.......a journey that will take us nine months. Hopefully through some fun times, and probably a few scary ones too. So, for all of you that think you know us, read on, and ENJOY!!
