Update

Well, Peyton is doing much better now. I am now just trying to get him eating solids again. He is only wanting baby food, or soft things. I am hoping that he will get back to eating anything in a few days.

It is just Peyton and I this weekend. Daddy went hunting. We are just staying in and catching up on our rest. It is actually suppose to be cold here this weekend.

I am hoping to get a post up this week of Peyton singing. He is now interested in trying to sing songs. It is so cute. This will not be a surprise to my family, but he actually sings in pitch!!! He is going to be the American Idol 2025!!

Have a great weekend!!

Eventful Weekend

This past weekend has been very eventful. Friday night, Dwayne and I went to a couples Bunco night. Peyton stayed at my parents house for the night. We had a great time spending time with just the two of us.

Saturday night Peyton got sick and has been sick since. He has a stomach bug. He is pretty pitiful. The last 24 hours has been all about pedialyte, and plain oatmeal. I am hoping that we are on the downhill slide of this bug though. It is kind of weird to not have him following me around the house. He is just laying on the floor or is sitting in our laps. The only thing that I kind of like about this bug is that he is wanting to cuddle.

Please keep Peyton in your prayers, and Dwayne and I. Hopefully this bug is not something that is going to hit all of us!!

"Santa"

Peyton has learned a new word this week. I have a collection of Santa's on a table. Everytime he walks by them he looks up, points and says "Santa". Here is a short clip.

Peyton Meets Santa Clause

Lezlie and I took Addison and Peyton today to see Santa at the mall. We had them both dressed in their Christmas outfits. They were both so cute. I was really curious as to how Peyton was going to do sitting on Santa's lap. I first took Peyton over to Santa and introduced them. He said Hi and waved. Then I put him on his lap and Peyton just looked up at Santa. He was great. He did not cry at all. In fact, Santa called me over to him and asked me how old he was. When I told him he was 13 months old he was very surprised that he was not crying. All the kids before him screamed. I was very proud of Peyton and so was Santa. I have attached some pictures that I took of him waiting patiently in line to see Santa and pictures with Santa. Enjoy!!

Getting ready for Christmas

It is tradition every year with our family to put up Christmas decorations the weekend of Thanksgiving. This year, was a little different with a little 13 month old helper. He was adorable. He calls the ornaments on the tree, balls. He helped us decorate the tree by handing the ornaments one-by-one to Daddy. He did not throw or drop any of them. He was very proud of himself when we were done.

So far, no ornaments have been taken off the tree and no stockings have been pulled down. It will be interesting to see how many of my Christmas decorations stay up this year.

Everytime Peyton walks by the tree he says "Oh pretty". So Cute!!!! As you can see in the pictures, we have a fire going. Yes, it was cold this Holiday weekend in Houston, Texas. It was rainy and in the 40's.

We are really looking forward to this Holiday season!

Girls Week in NYC

We decided to make a last minute trip to NYC. My mom was going to be alone in New York, so she thought it would be fun for us to come and visit one last time. We had a great time, just the girls and Peyton. We layed around every morning in our pajamas and drank coffee and watched the kids. We did not get out till the afternoon because it was cold.

The last night, Lezlie and I went to watch Mary Poppins on Broadway. It was really good!! Mom watched the kids all evening (thanks again mom!!).

Here is a slide show of our trip. New York is beautiful in the Fall.

Happy Birthday Peyton

We celebrated Peyton's Birthday last Friday. He had a great time with family and friends. I can't believe that he is 1 years old. This has been a very fast year. Enjoy the slide show of his Birthday!

I took Peyton today to the Dr for his 12 month old check up. He is 20 lbs 11 ounces, and 30 inches tall. He has grown a lot. Of course his head is still BIG!! He had to get 5 shots today. It was pretty tough for him and I! He was a big boy though.

He is now eating anything and everything. He is also drinking real milk. I now can (have to) say that he is a little boy and not a baby anymore.

We are looking forward to another year to watch him grow and learn so much.

We will be posting 12 month old pictures soon!!

Best Buds!

Peyton is really enjoying having a little cousin. He is not to sure about her though when she is crying. He gets very concerned. He loves to give her wet kisses on the head. He is surprisingly very gentle with her. There have been some car rides when Addison is crying and Peyton is covering his ears, but other than that they get along great.

Here are a couple pictures of Peyton and Addison layin around. As you can tell in the second picture, it did not last long! It was cute though!

Enjoy!

Peyton after Grammy's Sunday Roast

Here are some pictures of Peyton after we got home from lunch at my parents. Our favorite meal after church is roast with potatos, carrots, and gravy. Peyton got to eat some this time. It does the same thing to me too!!

Video Mania!!

Peyton has been doing lots of new things over the last few weeks. I have attached four videos of Peyton. The first video is of him saying his favorite word COOL!! He does also say "Oh, Cool". He says this all the time. He has also said it during the prayer at church. He was looking up at the lights.

The second video is of Peyton trying to say SO BIG!! He is at the stage where he is trying to imitate everything. I love it!!

The last two video are of Peyton taking his first steps!! He has taken about 6-7 steps total. I think that it will still be a few weeks till he is walking by himself. He loves to practice though.

OH COOL

SO BIG!

10 year High School Reunion

This last weekend Dwayne, Peyton and I went to Bartlesville, Oklahoma for my 10 year high school reunion. We had a really good time. It was really weird to be back in Bartlesville, and especially being with high friends. Quite a few of my friends were there. It was good to visit with them and meet their children. Here are a few pictures of our trip.

Taking Drastic Measures!!

Over the last few weeks, I have really been struggling with Peyton chewing on everything. He has decided to chew and eat his bed. I bought a gummie rail cover, and it worked for a couple weeks. Then he started to pull the gummie up off the bed, to get to the wood. He is a mess!!! My mom, sister and I decided to come up with our own bed rail cover. The covers are hard to find when you do not have a standard bed rail. We bought some soft fabric, and placed foam in it. Then we tied the foam tubes to his bed. So far so good. I bet though in the next few days, he will figure some way to untie the ribbon to get to the wood!!!

Where does the time go??

I can't believe that Peyton is 10 months old. It seems so unreal to me that he will be 1 year old in 2 months.

Peyton has changed a lot over the last 2 months. He is now crawling, pulling up on everything, walking with a walker, opening cabinets, talking up a storm, and is getting his 6th tooth. He also throws a ball really well with his left hand. Daddy is very proud, and already in his mind has him drafted in the NFL. We think that Peyton will probably be walking in the next few weeks. We have a bet that he will be walking by his first birthday. He wants to walk so bad!!!

Peyton is also starting to eat table food. He is not really that good at it. He is really good though at gagging and throwing up the whole food!!! I think that he is going to be on puree foods until he is two.

Well, the summer is almost over. It has been a great summer. We have done lots of things and even traveled a little. I have to say though that the best thing about our summer is the new addition to the family. Addison is getting so big. Peyton is ready for her to get up and crawl around with him.

I have attached a video clip of Peyton getting his teeth brushed and talking to himself in the mirror. If their is a mirror in the room, Peyton is content!!! Enjoy!!

Peyton's First Hair Cut

Today I went to get my hair done and decided that Peyton could use a little trim. He did so good. He sat on the booster seat all by himself, and did not cry once. He is such a big boy.

Meet Our Little "Angel" Addison Elisabeth!!

My sister Lezlie and her husband Scott have been through so much over the last 5 years to start a family. Our whole family has been with them every step of the way through this adoption process and infertility.

Through many many prayers, they were blessed with Addison Elisabeth. Scott and Lezlie have been in Kansas since last week, and will hopefully be returning home this week sometime as a family of 3!!!!

Here are some pictures of their new bundle of joy. Peyton, Dwayne and I were in Kansas over the weekend to see Addison. Peyton liked her, other than she woke him up from his naps a lot. He just smiled at her and of course tried to pull her hair. I am so excited for them to come home and watch them experiece what Dwayne and I have experienced with Peyton over the last 10 months.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Is That a Baby Ruth in Peyton's Bath Water??

No, it is not a Baby Ruth. I wish that it had been. Grammy was giving Peyton a bath and he decided to give her a gift. This is definitely the first time that Peyton has done this. He was pretty proud of himself. I thought that it was so gross. Grammy of course had to give him another bath.

He was just having so much fun, plus I think that he is going through a growth spurt. He ate 3 jars of baby food and 4 ounces of milk for dinner. He had a lot to unload!!!

Enjoy these classic pictures!!!

Grand Lake 2007

We just got back Monday from visiting my Grandma and Family at Grand Lake in Oklahoma. We had a great time. I was really neat to take Peyton to the lake that I grew up at and learned to ski. We did not make Peyton ski this time, but next year he will ski!!! I actually surprised myself. I skied for the first time in 5 years. I was really hurting the next day though.

Enjoy the slide show!!

4th of July at the Big Apple

We spent the 4th of July visiting my parents in Manhattan. We took another couple from our church with us. We had a great time. I think that Peyton was a little over stimulated with everything that he saw, but he did great. Grammy and Papa had a good time with Peyton too.

Here is a slide show of our trip to NY. Enjoy!!

Congratulations BIGGIO!!!!

Dwayne, Peyton and I witnessed Biggio make his 3000th Hit. It was awsome. The stadium went crazy. Peyton really enjoys the Astros games as you have seen in a previous post.

It was a really special moment in Astro's history to be a part of. We actually were about to leave because Peyton was getting a little restless, but we are so glad that we stayed. We have the whole thing on video, but it it 8 minutes long and would take 5 hours to upload on the computer.

Here is a picture of the 3000th hit!! Priceless!!!!!

Peyton's New Bathroom

This past weekend, Peyton and I had some fun while Daddy was in Oklahoma fishing. We decided to paint his bathroom. My friend Tara from church, who is very artistic, came over to help me. Her husband was gone for the weekend too, so Peyton had a friend to play with while we painted ( Emily is 3 weeks older than Peyton). Peyton's bathroom is decorated with frogs, so we got really creative. The frogs that are up on the wall, are actually suppose to be at the bottom of the bathtub to keep Peyton from sliding, but they won't stick. So, we literally had to plaster them to the wall.

Peyton loves his new bathroom, as you can see in the pictures. (Thank you Tara!!)

First illness

Well, I took Peyton took the Dr.'s this morning because he has been running a fever for over 24 hours. The Dr. did some blood work and found that he has a viral infection. He has been doing better today. He did not run a fever all day until 5pm, and then he only had a fever for about an hour. I am hoping that this viral infection is on the downhill side.

Peyton has been in pretty good spirits though. He has been sleeping through the night, and has not been too fussy. Thank you all so much for your prayers!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!! This is a special day for Dwayne because, it is his first Father's Day. Dwayne has not had the day or the weekend that he would have hoped for. Peyton started running a high fever yesterday afternoon, and is still running a fever. So, we have been home with a sick child for the first time for Father's Day. It's okay though. We are having some good family time laying around the house. Peyton has been very cuddly. I am taking him to the Dr. tomorrow to see what is wrong with him. He is cutting one of his top teeth, but I don't think that they can run 103 temperature when they are teething.

Anyway, I have attached a picture slide of Peyton at 8 months. My friend came over and took another 150 pictures. Again, they were all good. One of the picture's in the slide show is a Father's Day picture that Peyton surprised Da-Da with this morning. Enjoy!! Please keep Peyton in your prayers!!

Learning New Things

Well, I can't believe that June is half over. Here in Houston, it is already in the upper 90's with a heat index over 100 degrees. Peyton has already become a water baby. It is too hot to be outside unless you are in the pool.

This past weekend, Dwayne's parents were here. We had a great time. We took them to see Peyton at Gymboree class, took them to our neighborhood pool, and went to Galveston. Peyton had a good time with his Grandparents.

Over the last couple of weeks, Peyton has learned to cruise the floor better backwards. He is just beginning to try to get up on his knees and rock back and forth. I will bet that he will be crawling in the next couple of weeks. I am not sure that I am ready for all this cruising.

Peyton is also getting another tooth. He got his two bottom teeth at 6 months, and one of his front tooth's is coming in . He is really not liking it. He did not sleep through the night for a week and has been a little fussy. I thought at first that it was a cold, but then I saw what was causing it. It is about the break through the skin. He is grinding his bottom teeth on the new tooth. It makes me kringe

Peyton has also learned how to wave bye-bye. It is so cute to see his language and understanding develope. I am so PROUD!!!! In Blog near you, Peyton Russell Seeber speaking in 5 words sentences!! (sorry, this is the speech therapist in me!!)

We are so excited for the summer. We have some fun trips planned. July 4th we are flying with another couple from church to the BIG APPLE. Peyton's first trip to New York. We are so excited. He will be staying will Grammy and Papa in the apartment most of the time while we are out touring. Grammy does not want to take Peyton out in the city too much!! At the end of July, we are driving to Grand Lake in Oklahoma visit GG, Aunt Shari and Uncle Dave, and Aunt Carol and Uncle Brian. Peyton will swim in the lake that I grew up in for the first time. His life jacket and little baby ski's are ready for him. He WILL learn to ski!!

Then our last trip for the summer, at the end of August is to Bartlesville, Oklahoma to my 10 year High School Reunion. I can't believe that it has been 10 years.

Well, needless to say, we are going to be busy. I have attached a couple of videos of Peyton waving bye-bye, and him finding a new toy. Enjoy.

Everyone have a safe and happy summer!!!

Peyton's First Day at Bible Class

Peyton started Bible Class yesterday. He started class with his two friends Blake and Corbin. They are all the same age. I was a little sad, because my baby boy is growing up so big. As I put him in the seat at the table, I was just imagining taking him to his first day of kindergarten.

When we sat him at the table, he started talking and patting his hands on the table. He was excited. The teacher said when we picked him up that he did great. He did not cry once. He didn't even cry when he saw me when I picked him up. He was having a great time with his friends.

Here are some pictures of Peyton with his friends Blake and Corbin sitting at the table ready to learn about Jesus! Enjoy!

Great Grandad and Great Grandma Mayes Came to Visit

My Grandad and Grandma from Arizona came for a visit. They were really looking forward to meeting Peyton. Peyton is their first Great Grandchild. We had a really good time visiting with them. We enjoyed sitting around and watching Peyton. Peyton had a good time in the baby pool in Grammy and Papa's backyard. Great Grandma, and Grammy went to watch Peyton at Gymboree. Peyton enjoyed showing off! We are so glad that they came to see us. Enjoy the pictures!!
